When you are finished working on a document and you want to upload your changes to ProjectWise, you close the document and then check it in.
Any document that is checked out to you in ProjectWise Drive (whether the check out was initiated from ProjectWise Drive or ProjectWise Web) will have the same check out icon in both ProjectWise Drive () and ProjectWise Web (
), and you will be able to check in from either ProjectWise Drive or ProjectWise Web.
Check in a document that is checked out to ProjectWise Drive, from File Explorer
In the ProjectWise Drive node in File Explorer, right-click the document and select Check In. The server copy of the document is updated with your local copy, the checkout icon changes back to a pencil icon in the Status column, and the local copy of the document remains on your computer.
Check in a document that is checked out to ProjectWise Drive, from ProjectWise Web
To check in the same document from ProjectWise Web, click the check box next to the checked out document and from the action menu select Check in > Check in.
Note: Documents that you checked out to ProjectWise Web (meaning that you checked them out from a work area connection that is not synchronized with ProjectWise Drive, or from one that is synchronized but when ProjectWise Drive was not running) will have a different check out icon () in ProjectWise Web, to distinguish them from documents that you have checked out to ProjectWise Drive
. Documents that you have checked out to ProjectWise Web will appear to be locked
to you in ProjectWise Drive (that is, if you later synchronize this work area connection and go to the ProjectWise Drive node in File Explorer).
