How does the issue looks like:

When user migrated to clustered environment he might notice slow downs of certain login transactions in ProjectWise that might take up to 500ms. It's especially noticeable when deleting a large amount of folders from a Project wise project.

How to Test:

Please try to use this command(telnet client needs to be enabled):

telnet mypwserver1.work.at 5800

To ping the server and you should notice that there will be a slight but felt delay between first ACK and NOSEC message, which will not be found when checking server logs but seen in client logs.

How to Fix:

Described in detail here, a Dword needs to be created in all cluster server's registries.

  • Start Registry Editor.
  •     Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
  •     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\<Interface GUID>
  •     On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
  •     Name the new value TcpAckFrequency, and assign it a value of 1.
  •     Quit Registry Editor.
  •     Restart Windows for this change to take effect.
