Problem Description

Indexing Service was not doing full text retrieval for .msg files.

Solution

This can be accomplished by installing Windows Desktop Search (Server version)  on the Integration Server.  The next step is to install Msg Filter downloaded from http://www.gcunplugged.com/misc/msgFilt.msi  on the Integration Server.

    Then Select the Full Text Retrieval document processor from PW Administrator.  Right-click on it, and mark the folder for processing with the targeted .msg files in it.  Right click > Start processing now.

    After allowing a fair amount of time for processing, test by selecting the search binocular icon (Search form) > Full text tab > populate the “Look for” field with the exact text you are seeking to find  > It will populate the search results folder with the .msg title
