Problem Description
User creates shortcut to document by dragging and dropping onto the desktop. Clicking on the shortcut gets Error 50000 Failed to compile a moniker from given string. Not found.
Note, when in pre-V8i versions it will not work, but no error appears.
Solution
URL was longer than the Windows shortcut limit of 255 characters. Turning on the user setting "Use URN links" shortened the links enough to work
